Climate Justice: Basel in the World




 During the Spring Semester of 2025 students from unissa and Prof. Dr. Janina Grabs co-organized the colloquium “Climate Justice: Basel in the World”. In this course students learned about climate justice, progressing from fundamental theory via global practices to perspectives firmly rooted in experiences local to Basel.

Together they brought the abstract concept down to practical ground and took their thoughts beyond the classroom: The goal was to develop critical and ambitious positions on what climate justice could look like at the University of Basel, in their daily lives, and beyond.
