Ongoing Projects
Finances and Project Application
How is unissa financed?
Unissa is financed mainly through funds from skuba and the Sustainability Office of the University. Specific projects also benefit from sponsors.
How are funds allocated?
The funds of unissa are managed by its Board. Find more information about the Board here.
Unissa uses its funds to finance community as well as project based expenses. Community based expenses are for example: pizza for pizza night, website hosting costs, unissa stickers, posters for semester start events, etc..
Some projects like the Sustainability Week Basel are self-financing, mainly through funds from sponsors. The sponsors of the Sustainability Week are displayed on the flyer.
The unissa Board can approve a budget of up to CHF 1000.- per project. Projects which fulfill the criteria outlined in the document “Guidelines for Project Funding” and have filled out the document “Project Application” are considered by the Board for funding. If unissa's budget allows for it and the applicants can satisfactorily demonstrate why more funds are needed for their project, the Board can exceptionally approve a higher budget. The same applies for long-lasting projects which are in need of further funds to continue their work.
If you have any questions regarding unissa's finances, do not hesitate to contact us via mail:

This comprises contact persons of the university as well as external organizations and partners, depending on what is needed for your specific project. Sponsorship in kind is also possible through unissa. Furthermore, you will be able to use the university premises to host meetings and events.
